Fund IV New Investment: SocialCrowd
The digital footprint for frontline workers
Augment is thrilled to announce our investment in SocialCrowd’s $2.5M seed round, co-led with Bread & Butter Ventures.
SocialCrowd is a frontline staff optimization platform. The company’s current offering helps companies motivate and retain frontline workers by automating goal tracking, reminders, and providing instant rewards. At the heart of SocialCrowd is a simple but powerful idea: make it easy and rewarding for employees to hit their targets. Managers set performance goals, connect their existing systems, and the platform takes care of the rest—nudging employees via text or email, tracking real-time progress, and instantly awarding redeemable points when goals are met. The platform has already demonstrated significant ROI with customers who saw an average of 55% monthly sales improvement in 2024 through the use of SocialCrowd.
The company’s flexible, hardware-agnostic platform integrates seamlessly with existing tools and works across a wide range of industries like quick-serve restaurants, manufacturing, sports, and retail. In a year of being in the market, SocialCrowd already has 5,000 contracted users including at major brands like Sonic Drive-In, the Milwaukee Bucks, Motorola, and Toyota.
The company was founded by Raphael Akinsipe and Paul Doran — veterans of companies like Google and HST Pathways — the SocialCrowd team is now building toward a vision of predictive, AI-driven workforce optimization. Said CEO Raphael Akinsipe:
“At SocialCrowd, our mission is to reshape the future of work by reimagining how teams engage, perform, and thrive. We turn everyday tasks into rewarding, gamified experiences that drive lasting motivation and accountability. By combining behavioral science with automation, we’re not just helping companies boost productivity — we’re building a new model for work that’s more human, dynamic, and fun. We’re thrilled to partner with Augment Ventures as we scale our impact and lead the charge in creating more empowered, connected workplaces.”
