Fund IV Investment Spotlight: Nexxa.AI

We are excited to announce our latest investment out of Fund IV, Nexxa AI!

Nexxa is building a category-defining platform that brings advanced AI decision-making to the world’s most operationally complex sectors, including manufacturing, logistics, and energy. By combining deep domain expertise with specialized agentic workflows, Nexxa enables industrial teams to run faster, safer, and more efficient operations, all without needing an in-house army of data scientists.

Nexxa solves three fundamental pain points that legacy enterprise software cannot. First, it introduces agent-based AI that understands and mirrors real-world industrial logic, integrating physics, heuristics, and expert systems into AI-native agents. Second, it transforms technical workflows into dynamic, adaptive systems that work alongside operators and engineers. Third, it brings modern AI to sectors that have long been underserved by traditional tools, creating a new blueprint for how intelligence is deployed across industrial operations.

At the center is Philipp Wehn, Nexxa’s Co-Founder and CEO. Philipp brings a rare combination of technical depth and commercial intuition. A former venture builder and engineer, he has spent his career helping deep-tech startups scale into complex markets. Now, he is applying that same playbook to Nexxa. With a strong track record in go-to-market execution and a deep understanding of industrial customer pain points, Philipp is building the foundation for Nexxa to become the trusted AI layer across heavy industry.

Nexxa aligns perfectly with Augment’s applied AI thesis. As physical industries face rising pressure to reduce downtime, increase resilience, and meet sustainability goals, AI is moving from a back-office tool to a frontline operating system. Nexxa’s early deployments in aerospace and manufacturing are already driving measurable improvements in throughput, reliability, and decision speed.

We are proud to welcome Philipp and the Nexxa team to the Augment family. Together, we are building the intelligent infrastructure powering the future of industrial operations. To explore their early adopter program reach out here!

Comment from Founder & CEO, Philipp Wehn, on Augment:

“Early on our journey, I met Sonali at an event and felt grateful to meet somebody who understands heavy industries as well as I do. We share the same vision and understanding of problems that need to be solved. It was an honest and supportive process with the team, and we are happy to go big together.”
