Augment Ventures September 2022 Update

Fund III New Investment: Guardhat

Guardhat is creating a technology platform to improve safety for frontline industrial workers. The platform offers visualizations including live-view maps, worker notifications and alerts, response management, and continual data logging and analysis.

This enables the Industrial Internet of People, or IIoP, creating people-centric safety and optimal productivity. It also broadens the capabilities of edge solutions through single-system collaboration. This will help reduce worker fatalities, injuries, and business losses.

We’re excited to welcome the founders of Guardhat – Saikat Dey and Senni Perumal – and the entire Guardhat team to the Augment Family!

Saikat Dey, co-founder and CEO of Guardhat:
“Guardhat and Augment Ventures are a solid match,” said Saikat Dey. “We are on a mission to improve the lives of the world’s 2B-plus deskless workers, starting with the industrial sector, tightly aligned to Augment’s mission to transform traditional industries and impact lives. What’s more, once I met Sonali, I immediately knew we needed her on our team. Seeing what she has built in her business and network, against odds, and values-based is simply inspiring. I am incredibly excited by what we can achieve together.”
