Perennial Announces First Vera-Approved AI Tool

What Just Dropped: Perennial has officially launched VT0014, the first Verra-approved digital soil mapping tool for quantifying soil organic carbon at scale. This marks a pivotal milestone for the carbon markets — introducing a globally standardized, AI-powered framework for measuring soil carbon more efficiently, accurately, and equitably. Approved under Verra’s Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), VT0014 now enables project developers worldwide to use machine learning and remote sensing to measure and monitor carbon sequestration in soils without being constrained by traditional, costly sampling methods.

Why This Matters: For years, the cost and complexity of physical soil sampling have limited participation in carbon markets, especially for smallholders and developing regions.
